Teddy L. Nystrom

Teddy L. Nystrom, 77, of 382 Spring St., East Kane, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born Feb. 25, 1936, in Wetmore, he was a son of  the late William and Blanche Swanson Nystrom. On June 25, 1960, in Johnsonburg, he married Patricia Baum who survives.
Ted was employed for over thirty years by the  Kane Gas Company. He was a member of the VFW Post 6347 in Mt. Jewett and was an avid Tony Stewart fan. From 1955 to 1957 he served with the U.S. Army in Germany.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Pat Nystrom, are four sons who were also his best friends, John (Lynn Buhl) Nystrom, Vaughn (Jessica Mays) Nystrom, Shawn (Melanie) Nystrom and Shannon "Pup" Nystrom, all of Kane; a granddaughter, Alyse Nystrom; two grandsons, Cooper Nystrom and Tucker Nystrom; a great-grandson, Jaxon Teddy Artman; three step-grandchildren, Nicole, Hannah and Nicholas Buhl; two brothers, Charles (Eileen) Nystrom of Tampa, Fla. and Gerald (Judy) Nystrom of Lamont; three sisters, Betty Feronti of Kane, Joyce Kasaback of Ludlow and Geraldine "Pudge" (Paul) Pierotti of Kane; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Callistus Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
