Lady Wolves start out season strong in Altoona

April 7, 2013

Kane's Morgan Nicholson lets the javelin fly during Saturday's Igloo Invitational in Altoona. The two week delay to start the season didn't bother the junior, as she broke the KAHS javelin record by an amazing 15 feet. Nicholson uncorked a throw of 133' 8", which is one of the top throws in the country this season. She won the event and also won the shot put, capping off a great day for the Lady Wolves' throwers.

The girls came out strong, and gave one of the best early season performances that coach Jim Sirianni can remember.
