Emer humbled by outpouring of support

April 18, 2013

Photo by Amy Geer – Brenda Emer, pictured here, will have her dancing shoes on Saturday at the Kane Elks Club. Friends of the 12-time cancer survivor are holding a benefit to raise money to help the Kane school bus driver and cafeteria worker while she takes part in a trial study in Pittsburgh. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to midnight and feature three local bands.

JAMES CITY – It has been a whirlwind couple of months for James City’s Brenda Emer. Back in mid-February, she found out that she would not be able to start the clinical trial she was anticipating.
