Brendan J. "B.J." Crimmins, 67, of 2 Greeves St., Kane, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.
Born June 8, 1945, in New York City, N.Y., he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Walsh Crimmins.
He was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church and the Kane VFW Lodge #1132. Throughout his life, he had worked at times as a cook and in the security field in various places in Connecticut.
B.J. served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are two sisters, Margaret Fitzgerald of Skaneateles, N.Y. and Kathleen Casanova of New York City, N.Y.; and a brother, Joseph B. Crimmins Jr. of Spokane, Wash.
He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a sister, Rose Anne Crimmins.
The family will receive friends in the gathering space at St. Callistus Church on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant.
