Alice S. Peterson

Alice S. Peterson, 92, formerly of Mt. Jewett, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 22, 2013, at the Lutheran Home at Kane where she resided.
Born April 14, 1921, in Knox, she was a daughter of  the late Amer and Marie Moore Silvis. On Sept. 8, 1943, she married Andrew Grant  Peterson who preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. Peterson was a beautician for 57 years and was the owner of the former Chateau Beauty Salon in Mt. Jewett. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mt. Jewett.
Surviving are two sons, Rodney (Linda) Peterson and Gordy (Tammy) Peterson, both of Mt. Jewett; two daughters, Jeanne (Gary) Ellsworth of Mt. Jewett and Jan (Joe) Kreitzer, of Lantz Corners;  three grandsons, Steven Peterson, Darren Myers and Derek Kreitzer; a granddaughter, Kristy Spaich; a great-grandson, Andrew Peterson; two great-granddaughters, Mady Spaich and Jocelyn Spaich; a brother, Harold Silvis of Bradford; and a sister, Doris Bonini of Mt. Jewett.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. June 8, 2013, at the Mt. Jewett United Methodist Church.
