Edna R. Spangler

Edna R. Spangler, 77, of 109 Clay St., Kane, died unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, June 27, 2013.
Born Sept. 26, 1935 in Spring Creek, she was the daughter of Opal and Cora Cisco Spangler. On Aug. 3, 1955 in Fredrick, Md., she married Charles R. Spangler, who died in 1991.
Edna was an Avon Representative for many years. She was a life member of the VFW Post #1132 in Kane and it's Ladies Auxiliary. She was Catholic by faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Andrea (Kevin) Tesh of Salisbury, N.C.; three sons, Charles Spangler, Jr. of Kersey, Frank Daniel (Kerri) Spangler of Kane and Mark Spangler of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Alex Miles and Frank Miles, both of Corry; two sisters, Winnie Geiger and Rose Huffman, both of Starbrick; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a son, Steven Spangler.
Friends may call on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, and may attend a service there on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Ed Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Kane.
