Rose Johnson

Rose Johnson, 74, of 17 North Oak St., Kane, died early Thursday morning, July 25, 2013 at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born Aug. 20, 1938 in Marienville, she was the daughter of Charles R. and Effie M. Barr Sharrow. On Aug. 29, 1958 in Crown, she married Virgil A. Johnson, who survives.
A homemaker, Rose did housekeeping for folks in the area. She was a lifetime member of the McKean County Fire Police and belonged to the Kane Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She enjoyed puzzles and embroidery.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Robert Johnson of Kane; two daughters, Robin Yasurek and Rebecca Knapp, both of Kane; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Saturday from noon until 1:30 p.m., at which time a service will be held there with the rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of the Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery following cremation.
