Connie J. Walker

Connie J. Walker, 74, of 13 Merrick St., Hazel Hurst, went home to meet the Lord she loved while surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Hamot on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.
Born Aug. 4, 1938, in Kane, she was a daughter of  the late John and Avis Nogar Keesler.
Connie was employed by the Smethport School District  for 30 years as a custodian. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mt. Jewett and was an avid bingo player and loved to spend time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, James Walker, "her loving caretaker" and John (Deb) Walker, both of Hazel Hurst.
Preceding her in death was one daughter, Jacqueline Hope Walker who was also the loving mother of her four surviving grandchildren, Donny (Ericka), William, Matthew (Tabitha) and Thomas (Leslie) Davis. Also surviving are nine precious great-grandchildren; a sister, Carole "her best friend," (Jack) Walker of Hazel Hurst; a brother, Richard (Coby) Keesler of Hazel Hurst;  two nieces, Mary Porter, and Barb Transue of Hazel Hurst; and a nephew, Russell Transue of Hazel Hurst.
She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Carsen Davis; and two brothers, Tom Keesler and John Keesler.
Family and close friends may attend a viewing at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett, on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Immediately following will be a public Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 12 p.m.  Monday with the Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Clermont Cemetery.
