Gary L. Dean

Gary L. Dean, 61, of Virginia Avenue, James City, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.
Born March 13, 1952, in Kane, he was a son of John and Margaret Oyler Dean.
Mr. Dean had previously worked for Bethlehem Steel, JH Williams Tool Company and various lumber mills.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of James City, are a son Timothy Dean of Smethport; three brothers, John (Mary) Dean of James City, Mike (Celeste) Dean of Buffalo, N.Y., and Bruce (Linda) Dean of Kane. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Dean.
A Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery with the Rev. Chad Troup, pastor of the First Church of God, officiating.
