Hazel B. Marconi

Hazel B. Marconi, 91, of 214 Hickory Dr., Longwood, Fla., formerly of Kane, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at her daughter Judy’s residence.
Born Sept. 30, 1921, in Barnes, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Martha (Cook) Woods.
On Sept. 18, 1941 in St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church, she married Fred A. Marconi, who died on May 7, 2012.
Mrs. Marconi was a 1939 graduate of James City High School. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane and a member of Mary Help of Christians Church in Parkland, Fla.
Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia L. (Lynn) Fettrow, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Judith A. Castle, of Orlando, Fla., and Debra J. (Domenic) Malara, of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sons, Dr. Ronald (Judy) Marconi, of Visalia, Calif., and Fred (Chris) Marconi Jr, of Morrisville, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Leonhart and Caroline Hyde, both of Auborndale, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., and again on Saturday Sept. 7, 2013 in the gathering area at St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane, from 9-10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sanctuary at 10 a.m. with Rev. Theodore Marconi, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Erie. Mausoleum entombment will be held in St. Callistus Mausoleum.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Callistus Church, or the Mary Help of Christians Church in Parkland, Fla. or the charity of the donor's choice.
