Brenda Emer-- our 'poster child' for war on cancer

October 2, 2013

Photo by Ted Lutz – A large crowd estimated at 400 attends a pink balloon launch Wednesday at the Kane Middle School parking lot. The launch honored Brenda Emer, who died Tuesday after a courageous 16-year battle with breast cancer.

Geer is one of many friends who is paying tribute to Emer, a James City resident who died late Tuesday afternoon following a courageous and miraculous 16-year battle with breast cancer.
