Robert E. Allshouse

Robert E. Allshouse, 64, of 1519 Rte 66 and 948, Russell City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born Dec. 12, 1948, in Warren, he was a son of the late Theodore and Lulu Vandervoort Allshouse. On May 6, 1971, in Kane, he married Sally Haight who survives.
Mr. Allshouse, who was a 15-year cancer survivor, served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He had been employed as a monitor at CD Electrodes in St. Marys.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Sally Allshouse, are two brothers, Jim Allshouse of Indiana and John Allshouse of Florida; and a sister, Joni Allshouse of Florida.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11 with the Rev. Chad Troup, pastor of the First Church of God, officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
