Virginia Turay

Virginia Turay, 87, of 130 Greeves St., died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born March 31, 1926, in Ludlow, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Marchark Turay.
Virginia lived in Ludlow before moving to Kane in 1993. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church and belonged to the former Altar Rosary Society. She was employed at Stackpole Carbon prior to her retirement.
Survivors include a sister, Pauline Kaszyca of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by two sisters, Anne Turay and Mary Comstock; and five brothers, Peter, Michael, Steven "Chip", Nick and Eugene "Dino" Turay.
Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 14 at St. Callistus Church, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Sheffield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ludlow Community Association or St. Callistus Catholic Church, 342 Chase Street, Kane, PA 16735.
