Josephine L. Simsick,

Josephine L. Simsick, 96, of 100 High Point Dr., formerly of 2 Greeves St., died Thursday morning, Oct. 17, 2013 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born at a wood camp in Dunkle's Corners, on March 17, 1917, she was a daughter of  the late Anton and Josephine Lican Kacin. On May 3, 1939, in Kane, she married Max Simsick who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Simsick was a homemaker and a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a niece, Rose Marie Campbell of Smethport, and a nephew, John E. Bizzak of James City.
Friends and family will be received Saturday from 9-10 a.m. in the gathering space at St. Callistus Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
