Wilma I. Arnold

Wilma I. Arnold, 78, of 106 E.L. Day Drive, Westline, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at Lakeview Senior Care and Living Center in Smethport.
Born Nov. 12, 1934, in Westline, she was a daughter of  the late Martin and Margauretta Young Dann. On Sept. 12, 1952, in Westline, she married Robert D. Arnold Sr. who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Arnold was a psychiatric aide at Warren State Hospital for 28 years retiring in 2000.
She was a former member and officer of the Lafayette Township Volunteer Fire Department and also was a member of the Lafayette Community Action Committee. She enjoyed quilting with friends, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and music and dancing.
Surviving are a daughter, Gale (Willard) Shay Sr. of Mt. Jewett; two sons, Ben James (Victoria) Arnold of Oil City and Billie J. Arnold of Bradford; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Arnold of Huntingtown, Md. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Rod (Denise) Arnold and their sons, Rodney and Ryan, Willard (Pam) Shay Jr.  and their children, Harley, Nicholas, Samantha and Joey, Ronald (Lori) Shay and their children, Kayla, Alyssa, Jordan, Brandan and Lindsey, Monica (David) Conklin and their children, Paige and Max, Brian Carey, Abigail Arnold and Micah Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents, are two sons, Robert D. Arnold Jr. and Kurt Allen Arnold; two brothers, Carlyle "Mutt" Dann and Martin James Dann Jr.; and three sisters, Elenora Milbourne, Marie Chirillo and Loretta Keeton.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and again on Monday, Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. W. Craig Smith, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be at McKean Memorial Park at a future date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
