Kane fire chief outlines financial challenges

Photo by Ted Lutz – Tim Holt, chief of the Kane Volunteer Fire Department, appealed Tuesday for more financial assistance from the borough of Kane and Wetmore Township. He claims the two taxing bodies combined contribute only 34 percent of the revenue needed to operate the fire department.

The time has come for Kane and Wetmore Township to ante up more tax dollars for the operation of the Kane Volunteer Fire Department.
