Patricia Fanning Welser

Patricia Fanning Welser, 58, of Wattsburg and formerly of Kane, died Monday morning, Nov. 11, 2013, at her residence following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
She was born in Norristown, N.J. on Nov. 10, 1955 a daughter of the late Patsy and Elizabeth Schwarz Fanning Vito.
Patricia attended Kane High School and went on to earn Master's Degrees in Education and Science. She originally worked as a teacher with Erie Country Day School and at Gannon University helping students with learning disabilities. She went on to work as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley and UBS and most recently was owner of Common Threads Quilt Shop. She was a member of sweet Adelines for over 35 years, director of Flagship City Show Chorus for a number of years, and a member of the Greater Cleveland Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed quilting and singing.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Roy A. Welser; three sons, Eric Welser and his wife Jodie of Pittsburgh, David Welser of Camp Hill, and Mark Welser and his wife Stephanie of Erie; one sister, Cheryl Bradybaugh and her husband Tim of Kane; two brothers, Charles "Spike" Fanning of Kane and Mike Vito and his wife Cindy of Plattsburg, N.Y.; one grandson, Harrison; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc., 151 Greeves St., Kane, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.. Services will be held there Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. and burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Kane.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
