Joanne M. Farr

Joanne M. Farr, 100, formerly of 72 Fraley St., died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born Nov. 20, 1912, in Kane, she was a daughter of  the late Leo and Antoinette Emer Tornatela. On July 26, 1947, in Kane,  she married James Edward Farr who died in 2000.
For many years, Mrs. Farr and Peggy Shinafelt owned the Garden and Gift Shop on Fraley Street. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a sister, Ellen Bifano of Kane, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents, were a brother, Pat, and sisters Mary and Lena.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Callistus Church with her great- nephew, Father Martin Moran, officiating. Committal services will follow at St. Callistus Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass will also be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
