Corbett, First Lady commemorate 150th anniversary of Gettysburg Address

Photo courtesy Pa. Internet News – Governor Tom Corbett and First Lady Susan Corbett were in Gettysburg Tuesday to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, originally presented by Abraham Lincoln on Nov. 19, 1863.

GETTYSBURG – Governor Tom Corbett and First Lady Susan Corbett were in Gettysburg Tuesday to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, originally presented by Abraham Lincoln on Nov. 19, 1863.
The Corbetts were joined by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia where they laid a wreath at Soldiers’ National Ceremony and the governor spoke as part of the official Dedication Day observance. Dedication Day has honored the Gettysburg Address each year since 1938, with attendance this year for the 150th anniversary estimated at close to 10,000 people.
