Driver falls asleep, crashes in Russell City

Photo by Ted Lutz – This is the scene at a traffic accident about noon Saturday in Russell City, Highland Township. The driver of the vehicle (left) fell asleep and went off the road. He was not seriously injured. The vehicle hit a utility pole, tree and fence before crashing into an unoccupied parked pickup truck (right) at the Dan Klaiber residence at 1508 Route 66.

RUSSELL CITY – Ridgway-based State Police said a driver fell asleep at mid-day and crashed his vehicle Saturday on combined Routes 66/948 in Russell City, Highland Township.
