All alone? Come to Eagles Club for Thanksgiving

November 27, 2013

Photo by Ted Lutz – The Kane Eagles Club is preparing to serve more than 150 free meals Thursday during its annual Linda Haight Thanksgiving Dinner. Volunteer cooks at the club include Michelle Slater (left) and Barb Gadley-Cheeks (right). The dinner at the club is for those in the Kane area with no place to go for Thanksgiving. Meals also are delivered to those confined to their homes.

No one in the Kane area should go without a Thanksgiving dinner.
That’s because the Kane Eagles Club once again is offering a free meal Thursday to anyone who has no place else to go for Thanksgiving.
“If you have nowhere to go for Thanksgiving, come join us at the Eagles,” Barb Gadley-Cheeks said. “Just come in and eat.”
