Advice is given on handling violent patients

December 12, 2013

Photo by Ted Lutz – State Police Trooper Bruce Morris (left), based in Ridgway, discussed "violent patients" Wednesday at a forum at Kane Community Hospital (KCH). Morris, the Kane area community services officer, chats with Janet Brunner (center), the KCH senior leader for business development/community outreach; and Wayne Steele (right), the emergency preparedness coordinator at KCH.

Nurses and staff at Kane Community Hospital should be prepared to face patients who become violent or aggressive.
"You have to be on your 'A' game all the time," State Police Trooper Bruce Morris said Wednesday in presentations at the hospital cafeteria. "You need to recognize signs of violence."
