Lady Wolves defeat Ramettes in overtime

December 19, 2013

Photo by Amy Geer – Lady Wolves' junior Taylor Morgan had another solid night in Wednesday's overtime win against Johnsonburg. The junior, shown here playing defense while a Ramette sets a screen behind her, scored 16 points in the win. Kane travels to Curwensville on Friday to take on the undefeated Golden Tide.

The Kane Lady Wolves and Johnsonburg Ramettes played one of their usual barn burners on Wednesday night in the Wolves’ Den. After four quarters of regulation and a four-minute overtime period, the Lady Wolves came away with a hard fought 59-57 win in a game that was a make-up game from Saturday night’s Coudersport Tournament consolation game.
Kane coach Dave Kiehl’s Lady Wolves jumped out to an early 8-1 lead midway through the first quarter before the Ramettes came storming back. Kassa Kocjancic led the comeback, scoring two baskets and adding a free throw to send the game into the second quarter with the score knotted at 10.
