Emergency dispatchers reported a vehicle over an embankment late Wednesday night in St. Marys on state Route 255 off the northbound lane. Initial reports indicated there was entrapment with open wounds, and a STAT MedEvac helicopter responded to the scene as the highway was closed down. A second chopper was reportedly ordered to be on standby at the hospital and a PennDOT supervisor was called to the crash scene. Elk Company 1 and 3, along with St. Marys Ambulance and Elkland Search and Rescue responded to the crash. No further information was available.
