ST. MARYS – The St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen ended the EQT Energy Classic Elk County Holiday Tournament with a tough 51-40 loss to the Kane Wolves on Saturday afternoon in a consolation game played at Elk County Catholic High School.
The Wolves held a slim 17-16 lead after the first quarter but then outscored St. Marys 15-9 in the second to go up 32-25 at the half. A low scoring third quarter put Kane ahead 39-29 and they maintained that advantage in the fourth quarter to come away with the win.
