Linda Kay Wolbert, 71, of Shippenville, died on Friday morning, Jan. 3, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born on Dec. 17, 1942 in Kane, to the late Virgil and Ernestine Hallberg.
She was the beloved wife of Francis J. Wolbert Sr., with whom she was married to for 51 years.
Linda retired from the Marienville Pharmacy. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and shopping with her granddaughters.
She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Marcy Lambert and her fiance, Bret Montana, of Strattanville; four sons, Frank Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Strattanville, Vergil and his wife, Kathy, of Shippenville, Doug and his wife, Shayla, of Crown, Scott and his wife, Stephanie, of Shippenville; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are five brothers, Harold, Virgil “Orv,” and Rick Hallberg, all of Kane; Melvin Hallberg of San Antonio, Texas, and Dennis “Pete” Hallberg of Rock Springs, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood St., Clarion.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Center at Clarion Hospital, at 150 Doctors Lane, Clarion PA 16214.
