Kane firefighters respond to calls

Photo by Amy Geer – The Kane Volunteer Fire Department's ladder truck turns onto Fraley Street to respond to a call on Monday. A sprinkler malfunction at Kane Manufacturing was deemed the cause for the automatic alarm but there was no fire and responders returned to the fire hall within an hour.

The Kane Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call Monday morning at the Kane Manufacturing building (Kane Screens) at 515 N. Fraley St. near the Rite-Aid store.
