Kenneth Paul "Kenny" Smith

Kenneth Paul "Kenny" Smith, 21, of 107 Edgar James St., died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born June 6, 1992, in Warren, he was the son of Paul and Anita Swedenhjelm Smith.
Kenny was a member of the National Guards.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Jeannine Smith of Kane; his paternal grandfather, Glenn (Barb) Smith of Kane; three aunts, Denise (Steve) Blint of Kane, Vicki (Rich) Lyle of Kane, Bonnie (Ronnie) Causer of Hazel Hurst; two uncles, William (Joni) Swedenhjelm of Norwalk, Iowa and Steven Smith of Bradford; and several cousins, including Nicole Boylan with whom he was very close.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandmother, Rebecca Smith; and his maternal grandparents, Viola and Donald Swedenhjelm.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth Paul "Kenny" Smith will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at St. Callistus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating.  Interment will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20 at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where a vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m.
