Ellen T. Bifano

Ellen T. Bifano, 94, of 100 High Point Dr., and previously of 330 Bayard St., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Kane Community Hospital.
Born June 19, 1919, in Kane, she was a daughter of  the late Leo and Antonio Emer Tornatela. On Nov. 26, 1947, in Kane, she married Frank "Bud" Bifano who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bifano, a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church, had been employed at Stackpole Carbon before her retirement.
Surviving are two sons, Frank (Bud) Bifano of Shippenville and Jon Bifano of Hamburg, N.Y.; a grandson, Justin Bifano; three granddaughters, Jessica Bifano, Nicole Buchanan and Tina Bifano; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanne Farr, Lena DeMarte and Mary DeMarte; a brother, Pat Tornatela; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Bifano.
Friends will be received Monday from 10-11 a.m. in the gathering space at St. Callistus Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
