Lady Wolves fall short against Lady Cardinals

February 1, 2014

Photo by Amy Geer – Kelsey Johnson goes up for a layup during the second half of Friday night's game against DuBois Central Catholic. Johnson scored eight points for the Lady Wolves, including a shot just before the buzzer to end the fourth quarter that got Kane to within four, 29-25, but the visitors held on for the 42-37 win.

Kane girls’ basketball coach Dave Kiehl needed only to look at one statistic after the game to explain his team’s 42-37 loss to DuBois Central Catholic on Friday night: foul shooting. The Lady Wolves have been fairly consistent at the line, but only made four of 13 from the charity stripe in the Wolves’ Den against DCC.
