Maxine L. "Mick" Alabaugh, 80, formerly of 418 Chase St., Kane, died Thursday evening, Jan. 30, 2014 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where she resided since November 2012.
Born Sept. 28, 1933 in Leeper, she was the daughter of Henry E. and Helen G. Frill Heasley.Â On March 21, 1959 in Venus, she married Allison V. "Jack" Alabaugh, who survives.
Mrs. Alabaugh worked at Stackpole in Kane for 25 years, retiring in 1977.Â She was of the Catholic faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of Kane, are a daughter, Luann (Bob) Larson of Kane; four sons, Stephen (Helen) Heasley of Kane, Greg (Trisha) Alabaugh of Sheffield, Ken (Chris) Alabaugh of Russell and Ted (Sandy) Alabaugh of Kane; three brothers, Norman Heasley of Leeper, Bob Heasley of Tylersburg and Richard Heasley of Leeper; and two sisters, Mildred Cussins of Marienville and Nancy Zacherl in Texas.Â Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive, plus several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a daughter, Kathy Wilson; a sister, Dorothy Regina; and a brother, George "Ike" Heasley.
Friends may call from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of The Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating.Â Interment will follow in St. Callistus Cemetery, Kane.
