Wolves defeat Gators on Senior Recognition Night

February 4, 2014

The Kane Wolves boys’ basketball team honored four senior players and senior manager Alex Pearson on Monday night before tipoff and then went out and sent their fans home happy with a 42-33 win over the Port Allegany Gators.
Seniors Jeff Kocjancic, Kevin Cleer, Andrew Pierson and Tyler West started the game, along with junior Jack Kocjancic, for Kane. Jeff Kocjancic was on fire for the Wolves early, scoring all of his team’s 10 points in the first quarter. Kocjancic hit two shots from behind the arc in the run, along with an offensive putback and a steal that he took the length of the court for a layup. The Gators kept it close, however, and Kane held a narrow 10-8 lead starting the second quarter.
