SMETHPORT – Suspended Kane Borough Police Chief Brian Hillard will be performing a year of community service under a sentence he accepted Monday in McKean County Court.
Hillard, 43, was charged last August with two counts of falsifying state documents between February 2011 and July in his role as a certified firearms instructor.
He reportedly certified that three Kane officers had completed mandatory state firearms training when, in fact, they had not.
