Donald Morris Smith

Donald Morris Smith, 77, Brockway, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 14, 1937 in Leeper, son of the late Floyd and Ruth Elizabeth Penfield Smith. He married Donna Fox Smith, she preceded him in death in 2003.
He was a graduate of North Clarion High School, was in the U.S. Army, and was a manager for Bentz Furniture store in St. Marys for many years. He was a member of VFW in Kane and Crenshaw. He lived in Leeper than Kane before moving to Brockway seven years ago.
Donald is survived by two children, Bryan Smith and wife Tracy of Chapin, S.C. and Mrs. Joseph (Melissa) Matula of Brockway; and two grandchildren, Timothy Smith and Melanie Kinney, both of Brockway.
Donald was the last survivor of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by a infant son, Timothy Smith; three brothers, Clifford, Floyd “Jap” and Charles Smith; and three sisters, Bettie Leadbetter, Goldie Bechwith, and Dorothy Smith.
A private family gathering for Donald Morris Smith will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois.
