Doris Marie Bonini

Doris Marie Bonini, 80, of 10 Dayton St., Mt. Jewett, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and faithful companion, A.J.
Born Feb. 13, 1934, in Brookville, she was a daughter of the late Amer and Marie Moore Silvis. On May 15, 1954, in Mt. Jewett, she married William Bonini who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Bonini would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this May 15. 
A devoted wife, mother, grandma and friend, Doris was an avid reader, loved sewing and spending time with her family. She was a life long member of the Mt Jewett United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
Before retirement, she had worked at Stackpole for many years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Bill, are three daughters, Suzanne (Rocky) Mountain of Bradford, Billie Jean Bonini of Mt. Jewett and  Doreen (Daniel) Gustafson of Mt. Jewett; a son, Michael Bonini of Mt. Jewett; three grandsons, Jason Mountain, Joel Gustafson and Tony Bonini all of Colorado; a granddaughter, Katie Bonini of Buffalo; a great-granddaughter, Brooke Gustafson; a brother, Harold "Ike" (Marian) Silvis of Bradford; and many nieces and nephews with whom she was very close. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, A.J., who kept her company 24 hours a day.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by two grandsons, Joshua Michael Gustafson and Ryan Michael Bonini; a granddaughter, Amy Marie Mountain; and a sister, Alice Peterson, all of whom she loved and missed greatly.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Mt. Jewett. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Jewett United Methodist Church with the Rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor, officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Burial will be at Bridgeview Cemetery at a future date.
