Richard Dahl

Richard L. Dahl, 82, of 7061 Route 6, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at his residence.
Born Jan. 17, 1932, in Kane, he was a son of  the late Elof and Ranghild Johnson Dahl. On June 14, 1963, in Kane, he married Adeline "Addy" Damico who survives.
Mr. Dahl attended college in Williamsport where he studied mechanics. He then worked as a service representative for Dresser Industries in Olean, N.Y., traveling to six continents as he installed and serviced gas turbines and large industrial equipment around the world. After 31 years of service he retired in 1986.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Addy Dahl, are a son, Dr. Ron Dahl of Berkeley, Calif.; three granddaughters, Caroline Lindquist of Kane, Julia Dahl of State College and Adelaina Dahl of Berkeley, Calif.; three grandsons, Scott Dahl of Johnsonburg, and Rory Dahl and  Robert Dahl, both of Pittsburgh; two great-granddaughters, Madison Lindquist and Kaycie Dahl, both of Kane; a great-grandson, Alex Lindquist of Kane; a sister, Betsy Schaming and her husband W. Bernard Schaming of Haddonfield, N.J.; two nephews, David Schaming and Daniel Schaming; and a niece, Debra Weinstein.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, was a son, Randy Dahl.
Friends will be received Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where a funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Friday with the Rev. David Eastman officiating. Burial will be at Kanesholm Cemetery.
