Planning board endorses small engine repair shop

Photo by Ted Lutz – The Kane Planning Board has endorsed a plan for a small engine repair shop in a vacant building at South Fraley Street and East Hemlock Avenue. Taking part in the board meeting Monday are, left to right: Councilwoman Janet Board, chairman of the Planning Board; Jerry Rice, who is hoping to operate the business; Mick Petruney, borough zoning officer; and Lowell Watts, a member of the Planning Board. 

In a pro-business move, the Kane Planning Board voted 2-0 Monday to endorse a plan for a small engine repair shop in a residential zone.
