Wetmore may divert funds from borough to fire dept.

April 2, 2014

Photo by Ted Lutz – Members of the Wetmore Township Board of Supervisors pose with the new township truck. The supervisors include, left to right: Steve Dyne, Elaine Bodistow and Bill Ryding. The Ford F-550 dump truck has a stainless steel bed and has been busy plowing snow this winter. The township purchased the truck from Zook Motors of Kane through a state-contract program that precluded competitive bidding. The cost of $67,952.30 includes the whole truck package, including a snowplow.

Under a long-standing agreement, Wetmore Township contributes $18,000 a year for fire protection by the Kane Volunteer Fire Department.
