B. Pauline McMillen, 87, of 764 JoJo Rd., Kane, died Friday afternoon, April 4, 2014 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born Nov. 30, 1926 in Brookville, she was the daughter of Russell C. and Gladys G. Weirich Gilmore.Â On May 4, 1946 in Johnsonburg, she married Donald E. McMillen, who died in 1998.
Pauline worked at Stackpole in Kane for many years until it closed.Â She then worked in the deli at Quality Markets in Kane for several years.
She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.Â She attended the Kane Senior Center, belonged to the B.P.O. Elks Ladies' Auxiliary, where she was on a bowling team, andÂ enjoyed bus trips to the Seneca Casino.
Surviving are a daughter, Debora Geer of Mt. Jewett; a son, Donald McMillen II of Loveland, Colo.; five brothers, Bill Gilmore and Don Gilmore, both of Kane, Cal Gilmore and Bob Gilmore, both of Ridgway, and Tom Gilmore of Johnsonburg. Ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by two daughters, Mary Ann McMillen in infancy and Linda K. Finnefrock; two sisters, Doris Keneske and Gertrude Erdman; and a brother, Joseph Gilmore.
A funeral service for B. Pauline McMillen will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with Father Philip Pinczewski, pastor of St. Callistus Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow privately in St. Callistus Cemetery, Kane
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. onÂ Monday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane, with a Vigil Service at 3:30 p.m.
