Mrs. Elizabeth Parker,  84, of Salamanca, New York died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Pines Health and Rehab, Olean, N.Y
Born Sept. 14, 1929 in Olean, N.Y., daughter of the late Paul and Catherine McGurn Halloran. She was married on Nov. 30, 1957 in St. Patricks Church, Salamanca, N.Y., to Mr. Charles A. Parker Jr. who predeceased her on June 2, 2004.
Mrs. Parker was employed as a receptionist at the former Fancher Furniture Company and the former Bradner Department Store.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, a member of the Quadays for over 20 years, and a charter member of Xi Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxilary of the Salamanca American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535. She was also an Election Inspector for the Cattaraugus County Board of Elections for 35 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Bek, Upper State Park Avenue, Salamanca, N.Y., Mrs. Maureen (Bruce) Mack, Busti, N.Y., Marcia Parker (Mike Madison), Celoron, N.Y.; four grandsons, Justin Bek, Salamanca, N.Y., Aaron Madison, Celoron, N.Y., Matthew Mack, Busti, N.Y., and Kyle Mack, Busti, N.Y.; three sisters, Patricia Halloran, Salamanca, N.Y., Catherine Lewis, Kane, Mrs. Deanna (James) Eck, Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one brother, Donald Halloran, and one son-in-law, Lawrence Bek.
Memorial visitation for Mrs. Elizabeth Parker will be held in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, N.Y. on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at which time memorial services will be held with Deacon Michael Anderson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 101 John J. Audubon Parkway, Amherst, N.Y., 14228-1198 and the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Dr., Ste. 6, Williamsville, N.Y. 14221-7380.
