Search begins

April 20, 2014

Led by the Easter Bunny, children and their parents begin the search for treats Saturday at the annual Kane Easter Egg Hunt. A Kane fire truck siren signaled the start of the hunt on a chilly morning with temperatures in the low 40s. This is the scene at the former Chestnut Street Elementary School where pre-school children and kindergarten students searched for treats. Older children looked for treats across the street in Evergreen Park. The K-Club of Kane sponsors the Egg Hunt with donations from the Kane Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the VFW Auxiliary.
