Isabelle Lucille Carlson

Isabelle Lucille Carlson, 88, of 9716 Rte. 6, died early Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
She was born Feb. 26, 1926 in Kane, to the late David and Florence Johnson Bloomquist. On March 15, 1943, she eloped and married the love of her life, Richard W. Carlson, who survives.
Issy was a beloved wife of 17 years and was a great homemaker who sold Dutchmaid Clothing for years. She was a member and a lay minister for many years at St. John's Episcopal Church in Kane.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jeannine (Lyle) Leaman of Freeland, Mich.; two sons, David R. (Anne Lindquist) Carlson of Kane and Daniel (Connie) Carlson of Mt. Jewett; four grandchildren, Ira, Abram, Joshua Carlson and Daniel Kelly; 11 great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was a sister, Iona Hipchen.
Issy will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service for Isabelle Lucille Carlson will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Mt. Jewett with a luncheon to follow at the Fellowship Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Home at Kane, 100 High Point Dr., Kane, PA 16735 or St. John's Episcopal Church, 427 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735.
