Ethel Mae Chappo

Ethel Mae Chappo, 86, of Kane, died Monday, April 28, 2014.
She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Carnegie, a daughter of Trevor George Davis and Gertrude Blanche Stevens.
Mrs. Chappo worked in the laundry service at the Washington Hospital for 18 years. She loved her dogs and enjoyed ceramics, word search books, and playing cards. She looked forward to shopping and eating meals out with her family. 
Mrs. Chappo was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kane and a former member of Fourth Presbyterian Church in Washington.
Deceased is her first husband, Roy Winters.
On Nov. 10, 1971, she married Louis Chappo, who died May 18, 1972.
Surviving are a son, Gary Lee Winters of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters, Shelley Mae Winter of Canonsburg and Shyrl Ann Lavelle (William) of Kane; seven grandchildren, Tracey Mourer (Chris), Jessica Marriott (Pete), Philip Lavelle, Sara Lavelle, Chantal Lavelle, D’ja Lavella and Karena Barron; and two great-grandchildren, A’Miyah Washington and Robert Barron.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Glenn Davis and Alfred Davis; and five sisters, Peg Anderson, Marvene Davis, Juanita Ward, Idella Brown, and Audrey Thompson.
A memorial service for Ethel Mae Chappo will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 in First United Methodist Church, 112 Greeves St., Kane PA 16735, with Rev. William Lavelle officiating.
Memorial donations are suggested to a hospice of the donor’s choice.
