Rotary donation

April 30, 2014

Rotary president Gary Rhodes is shown giving a check to Kane Area Radio board members Chris Niklaus and Jim Greville. A $1,000 donation was made to go toward the startup equipment for the new station. The station has received nearly two dozen donations from organizations, businesses and individuals. Much of the equipment has been purchased and installed. The emergency broadcast system is the next item to be purchased. Although there is not a definite timeline for being on the air things appear to be in the later stages. The community non-profit low power station will be found on the FM dial at 101.7.
