Area is evacuated after truck rams gas regulator

Photo by Ted Lutz – This natural gas regulatory station on Oak Street in Kane was destroyed Thursday when it was struck by a pickup truck driven by an alleged drunk driver. Gas flowing from a broken pipe forced the Kane Volunteer Fire Department to evacuate the area. No injuries were reported.

A major catastrophe was miraculously avoided Thursday in Kane when an alleged drunk driver in a pickup truck rammed a natural gas regulatory station on Oak Street.
