Kane boys take 3rd at Altoona WCC Track Championship

Joey Newton, right, has had an impressive freshman season for the Kane track team. Newton has earned a spot in the finals of the 110 meter high hurdles at each of the team's last two invitationals. Newton placed seventh in Friday's WCC Track and Field Championship in Altoona in the event with a time of 16.85. Newton and his teammates have one final dual meet, this Tuesday at ECC before taking part in the District 9 AA Championship on May 16 in Brookville.

The Kane boys’ track and field team placed in 11 of 18 events at Friday’s West Central Coaches Track and Field Championship. The Wolves finished in third place out of 37 AA teams at the meet, which took place Friday evening at Altoona’s Mansion Park.
