May 5, 2014

Photo by Amy Geer – Kiley Kinney dives back to tag Curwensville's Melanie Milliron on a play at the plate on Monday. Milliron kicked the ball out of the glove on the play to be ruled safe, but Kinney held on to two other throws from center fielder Daria Huckabone to nail Lady Tide runners at home in Monday's first game. Kinney and her teammates close out the 2014 season next week with six games in four days.

The Kane softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to the Curwensville Golden Tide on Monday at Flickerwood Field. The Lady Wolves, playing in their first game in two weeks and their first home contests since April 10, dropped the first game 10-0 in six innings and lost to the Lady Tide 11-1 in the nightcap, also in six innings.
