Adventures of a wildlife photographer: American Woodcock

May 13, 2014

We are now in my favorite season of the year, spring. From a nature photographer’s standpoint, this is the best and most exciting time to get outdoors with a camera. Spring migrations, nesting, denning and most notability the increased activity of all wildlife, brings any nature photographer out of hibernation. This spring in particular I am anxious to get out and about after nursing a bad foot for a few weeks this winter. My signs of spring are the arrivals of the red-winged blackbirds and turkey vultures.
