The third annual "Book Swap" was held Monday evening at the Kane Elementary School. Shakira Yoder (left), a third-grader at the school, trades in some books she's read for some she'll read this summer. She is the daughter of April (right) and Christopher Yoder of Mt. Jewett. First-grade teacher Vicky Anderson organizes the annual "Book Swap" in the school's multi-purpose room. "Celebrate Summer With Books" is the theme for this year's event. Children exchanged more than 1,000 books during the two-hour "Book Swap."
