"Bucky" Thompson hanging it up after 44 years

June 19, 2014

Photo by Amy Geer – Robert "Bucky" Thompson will be retiring at the end of the month from Thompson's Floor Coverings after 44 years.

Robert "Bucky" Thompson started working evenings and weekends at Thompson’s Floor Coverings while he was still in high school. Buck graduated with Kane High’s Class of 1969 and took a job at Keystone Carbon, where he stayed for a short time before coming back to help his brother, William “Willie” Thompson in the family business. Forty-plus years later, he is ready to call it a career.
Willie’s son, Bill, now runs the business and had plenty to say about his uncle Buck.
